A Tale of Two Skin Woes, Pt. 2

Now that I had my skintone evened out, the second installment in my skin-brightening quest was to make my complexion look radiant. The artist recommended MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle ($28). The peachy-golden powder with veins of ivory and bronze swirled in is highly metallic, and provides great spot highlighting. I use it sparingly to reflect light and draw attention to certain points on my face. I’ll dust the powder on my cheekbones for excellent highlighting and contouring, under the arch of my eyebrow to light up my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, and occasionally across my forehead.

There are a million other uses for it; dab it in the inner corner of your eyes to open them up and make them appear wider. Dust it on top of the cupid’s bow to make your lips appear fuller and more shapely. Sweep it in the hollow of your clavicle to draw attention to your neck, or in your decollete to make your cleavage shimmer. Or mix it into your body moisturizer to give your arms and legs a pretty glow. It’s available in 3 shades to give you the effect you desire.

I’m not as put off by the price of this, due to the spot-coverage nature of this product. Since it’s applied in small doses on concentrated areas of the face, I know this compact will last a long time.
