A Trip to Sally Beauty Supply (and a Chance to Win a Giftcard)

sallybeautyVIPI was recently asked to team up with Sally Beauty Supply. Since I’ve shopped there since I was a teenager, I jumped at the chance to partner with the brand.

If you’re not familiar with Sally…you’ll want to be! The stores carry all your beauty needs–everything from haircare, nail care, makeup, beauty equipment, and even salon services in select locations (they have more than 2,700 stores worldwide). I shop at Sally because it’s fun; you can really get lost in this beauty emporium. And with prices that are fair, you can try out new products and stock up on old favorites without breaking the bank.

My favorite sections of the store are haircare and nail care. Their nail section is unrivaled. My local store had a floor-to-ceiling selection of Tropical Shine files (my fave), and a dizzying array of treatments, cuticle oils & softeners, mani tools, topcoats, paraffin tubs, and spa equipment — not to mention polishes! The biggest section of the store is usually haircare. At my store, entire sections are devoted to styling tools, brushes, rollers, and clips, and the perimeter walls are dedicated to products. Things are displayed by brand, and grouped by hair type/style, so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for (even though the stores are packed with inventory.)

I stopped by and picked up a few much-needed essentials, as well as some fun additions. See what I loved after the jump!

Here are a few of my favorite finds from my recent shopping trip. (Reviews of certain products will follow in the next few weeks.)

sallyclipsDrying my hair has forever changed with The Wet Brush ($10) and Croco Clips ($5.50). I’ve always used a wide-tooth comb to detangle wet hair, and hated it. This brush is a game-changer. Designed for wet hair, it glides through, detangling without pulling or breaking. It’s fabulous! The croco clips hold lots of hair so you can section it off easily to do a sleek blowout at home.

sallyh2tHeel To Toe Feels Like New Foot Softener ($5) is a moisturizing stick for your feet. This is your budget’s BFF, as repeated use can cut down on salon pedicures. I use this on my heels because they’re dry, and it seems to be helping so far.

sallydottingtoolNail Art Dotting Tool ($8.99): This set of dotting tools with heads in different sizes is great for creating fun manis. It makes nail art so much easier! You can do polka dots, stripes, designs…pretty much anything with these.

During this visit, I joined Sally’s Beauty Club. An annual $5 fee gets you an instant $5 coupon off your next visit, plus it lowers the prices of every single item in the store. On this trip alone, I saved $11.50 on my entire purchase.
