Argan Oil Everywhere

By now, you’ve heard about Moroccanoil, the O.G. hair oil that cures whatever ails you: split ends, fried tips, damage, dullness, whatever. Although a little goes a long way, Moroccanoil can be pricey. Its not-so-secret miracle-working ingredient is argan oil, which many companies are now including in their products. If your wallet is looking slim but you still want to reap the benefits of this healing oil, here are a couple products that will give you that argan oil bang for less buck.

Rusk Deepshine Oil ($12) infuses argan oil into the hair shaft to help improve elasticity and prevent future damage. Rusk says it forms a lightweight barrier on strands, keeping at bay evils like UV rays and high temps from heat stylers. If you color of highlight your tresses, this will prevent that bright, shiny color from fading or turning brassy. It also fights frizz and imparts major shine.

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment ($8) is part of a line of haircare products that also includes shampoo and conditioner. This treatment is loaded with vitamin E and antioxidants to make your hair supersoft. Reap the benefits by letting it soak in under a warm towel, then rinsing with cool water.

So…are any of these as good as the original Moroccanoil? The verdict is still out; I haven’t tried them yet. But at such low prices, you can experiment without feeling guilty.
