I’ve been battling killer sinus headaches for the past month or so. I was delighted to find a package containing Farmaesthetics Vapor Bath Elixir ($40) on my doorstep after a particularly long day at work.
When I could finally stop admiring the green color of this product (that’s chlorophyll!), I poured a few healthy glugs into a warm bath. My bathroom was immediately scented with a cool, minty/eucalyptus-y fragrance. The elixir contains essential oils that open congestion, boost immune responses, soothe sore or achy muscles (great for when you’re battling a cold or the flu), and relax you. In other words, pour some of this into your bath when you’re feeling not-so-hot, and you’ll feel instantly better all over.
If you feel really ill and only a hot shower will do, dab some of this onto a body puff and hang it from a shower caddy hook, or let it float around your feet as you shower. The steam from the shower will release the vapors and give you the same soothing, congestion-busting effect.
Another tip: this is also helpful after a particularly tough workout.
I don’t care if it’s all in my head, or if it just feels comforting to breathe in the fresh-smelling fragrance; I really do feel a little bit better after using this.
I’ve written about my love for Farmaesthetics products before. I discovered them at Terrain a few years ago and have been using them ever since. The all-natural products contain certified organic ingredients, and, in my opinion, are some of the most effective products on the market. The fact that they perform so well without harsh chemicals just proves for me that natural is the way to go when it comes to beauty and body products.
The packaging on this one is minimalist, yet so striking. The tall, slim, clear apothecary glass bottle showcases the vibrant green color of the liquid and looks beautiful on a bathroom shelf or vanity.
Whenever you’re under the weather, reach for this to start feeling better in minutes.
