First off, thank you for your patience while I took some time off to get married and take a much-needed break! After our wedding, I took some time off to relax, unplug, and go off the grid. I’m back now, and I want to thank you for sticking out my hiatus. Life has calmed down a great deal post-wedding, so things will be back to normal here (for the most part).
I want to tell you about a tool I’ve been using for weeks. I’m now a first-time owner of a professional hairdryer; Karmin was so kind as to send me their Salon Series Ultralight Professional Ionic Hairdryer ($249.95). This dryer is truly amazing! I can never go back to mass market hairdryers from Target again!
I was always skeptical of “professional” dryers that claimed to cut your hair drying time in half. Not a single dryer I’ve ever used, regardless of price, has ever lopped more than five minutes off of my drying time.
This hairdryer is a gamechanger.
My hair is long and semi-thick with a natural wave. I always straighten it. Using a round brush and Living Proof Prime and Satin Serum products, it takes me 22 minutes to dry my hair. Using the same products and brush, my hair dries in 12 minutes with this dryer. Twelve minutes! It chopped 10 whole minutes off of my drying time.
On the handle, there’s a button that flips back and forth between negative ions (indicated by a little green light) and positive ions (blue light). When you switch on the green light, hair dries faster. The dryer emits negative ions, which bombard your hair and break down water molecules on the shaft so they dissipate quicker, resulting in faster drying. Flip the switch when you’re done drying to flood your mane with positive ions, which boost shine. For an added boost, finish off with a blast from the cool shot button to seal the cuticle and help eliminate frizz and flyaways.
I would say the fast drying time alone makes this dryer worth its weight in gold, but the dryer is light as a feather! I never thought “lightweight” was a great marketing tool for hair appliances until I tried this one, which is truly lightweight. WHAT a difference it makes.
The dryer comes with a concentrator nozzle attachment, and a diffuser attachment for curly hair.
I could go on and on about this dryer, but I’ll sum it up by saying: it’s the best hairdryer I’ve ever used. I hope it lasts forever.
