What’s Inside the Rakuten Bonus Box

rakuten bonus boxRakuten Affiliate Network chose me as one of 50 advertising partners to receive their third quarter Bonus Box. As you have probably noticed by the occasional affiliate links on this blog, I partner with a select group of advertisers, mostly in the beauty industry, who are interested in getting the word out about their products. The Bonus Box is a relatively new initiative; Rakuten curates them quarterly to strengthen relationships between bloggers and advertisers. I love it because it’s a great way to sample new products! Check out what was in the Q3 box below.

tatchaTatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist ($15-48): This was the product I was most excited about in the box. I’ve been dying to try this! Spritz this light mist onto skin after moisturizing & before applying makeup to give your complexion a gorgeous luminous finish. The dewy skin look is the absolute prettiest in my opinion, and this executes the look gorgeously. If you’re oily, this is not for you; but if you have normal to dry skin, this will make you glow, glow, glow.

ole-henriksen-3-little-wondersOle Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Mini Box ($24.50): I’ve been using these products in my morning and nightly routines. The products are all deluxe sample/travel-sized, so you can really get a feel for how they interact with your skin before purchasing the full-size versions. I use the Truth Serum Collagen Booster in the morning to defend against free radicals. Before bed, I apply the Invigorating Night Treatment, which has a lightweight, sheer gel-like consistency. It feels so cushy gliding onto my skin. Over that, I layer Sheer Transformation, which is one of the lightest moisturizers I’ve ever used. I hate the feel of heavy moisturizers on my face, so this is perfect for me because it feels like it’s not even there. If too hate the feeling of heavy/thick moisturizer, this could be a nice option for you.

ZERO FOX GIVENHuman Zero Fox Given Tee ($20): Can we just talk about this T-shirt for a sec? When I opened it, I sort of died because…I mean, why wouldn’t I?! It’s also the softest shirt ever, but that’s almost beside the point.

laura geller glamlashGlamLASH Mascara ($24): For a tiny wand, this makes a big impact. I’ve been layering this over lash primer recently, and really like the results. It gives me ultra-black, long lashes that don’t flake or look fake. This could be a great makeup bag staple.

DHC Deep Cleansing OilDHC Deep Cleansing Oil ($5.50-28): This is one of DHC’s bestselling products. I’ve used this before, and it definitely does deep-clean skin; you massage it onto your complexion when your skin is dry, so it loosens up dirt, oil, and debris. I usually follow with a thorough rinse just to really whisk everything off.

nourish organics skin solveNourish Organics Skin Solve Cream-To-Oil ($20): To be honest, I really didn’t love this, which is a shame, cause Nourish’s products are amazing! This is like a wet Vaseline; it felt heavy on my skin and I just wasn’t digging the sticky feeling. If you have super dry skin, this product could be a godsend for you. It contains coconut, shea, and pumpkin butters to flood your skin with moisture.

There were some other goodies in the box, too, like two little bottles of Lacoste Live! cologne for men (which I gave to my husband because it smells great), and a New York City-themed keychain. I’m so glad I was selected to receive this box, as it was a great way to try out new products! Thank you to Rakuten for sending this awesome assortment of treats.
